Saul was of Israel in the tribe of Benjamin in the time after Moses. He was an elect to be the King of the Israelites:
"After that, you are to go on to the Hill of God, where the Philistine prefects reside. There, as you enter the town, you will encounter a band of prophets coming down from the shrine, preceded by lyres, timbrels, flutes, and harps, and they will be speaking in ecstasy. The spirit of the Lord will grip you, and you will speak in ecstasy along with them; you will become another man. And once these signs have happened to you, act when the occasion arises, for God is with you."
The Holy Bible (Tanakh) 1 Samuel 10:5-8
Argument for Equal Rights Amendment
In the book of Genesis God made woman from the rib of man which may have given men authority over women. In the later chapters of Genesis when Eve took the apple of knowledge there is evidence that God punished man and woman for the disobedience. One may even argue that man was punished more severely by God (in reading God's response to both man and woman). A later chapter of Genesis (Chapt 5) shares another story of creation whereby Man (Hebrew) or Adam (Greek) is deemed to be both male and female. This may be a more imminent account of the placement of male and female genders in God's world.
An equal rights amendment would be a force in our society that diminishes the ability of male authority to over assert its powers on the opposite gender. Accounts today may indicate a need for this type of right sanctioned by our government and for the world in order to create a good balance again. Such an amendment likely would not change the original placement of the male gender in God's world but it would manage the forces that are being utilized abusively today within the structures that were created.
There is question in the front page LA Times today related to the reporting that links the Syrian government's culpability in the chemical weapons assault to the UN recent report that determined the incident falls under a war crime. The UN has not formally identified the source of the chemical weapons assault though the news report infers this to be the case. The inference that the UN determination of a war crime is connected with the Syrian government's culpability is premature. Until the UN formally completes the assessment of the trajectory path of the missiles it is not fair to accuse the Syrian government. Allow the evidence to bring this forward rather than speculation.
Additionally, the news report inferred that the UN report "provided air tight evidence that Assad's forces fired rockets filled with Sarin gas..." and then later in the statement it noted "U.S. officials said." It was explicitly stated in the UN report that they had not completed the assessment as to the source of the chemical assault and that further studies and assessment were needed. This misleading journalism is concerning. It is important that we stay true to the facts of the situation and not create any unnecessary sentiments or conclusions before it is verified.
Exercise: Mind map the consequences of a public being misled by such inferences in a news report. It is very important that people are well informed so that the voice of the people is viably cognizant.
The Manhatten cocktail seems to be a good option at this time. I was surprised when the distiller suggested the Makers Mark 46 bourbon at the local shop (I usually opt for the Woodford Reserve). When I researched the spirit it turns out that the mash is not of rye with the predominant corn base but of a red winter wheat (and some barley grain) with the corn base. This seems to be a unique mix of grain. The history of the winter wheat is also interesting to read about coming from the Russian and German regions. The red winter wheat is an American grain though (from our blessed heartland), from what was studied. The vermouth for this cocktail is always sweet.
Don't forget the bitters splash (mediator)...and the lemon twist as a reminder.
In order to assure the most beneficial outcome it is important that we always put our best effort toward finding ways of peace. With this assurance than our work carries the integrity and seed that bears good fruit and sustains life.
