The epistle reading in Hebrews 13:7-16 supports the Word of the Gospel. The constructs of law are not alone sustaining of Life. The heart need also be established with the Grace of Christ and our sacrifices need be the goodness in our deeds (rather than the sacrifice of animals). Jesus sanctified the people with his own blood.
“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to him continually. That is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
“For here we have no continuing city but we seek one to come.”
We carry the ongoing hope of what Christ has promised for humanity that transcends the worldly ways to a truer, more fulfilling existence with God in Life.
The need to constantly pay attention to God’s Word in an ongoing and daily 'Now' for the sustenance for human life and for the Life to come.
