2 oz blended Scotch
1 oz fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz ginger juice (juiced ginger with simple syrup and water)
1/4 oz cocktail honey (3 honey/1 hot water)
2 dashes bitters
I think for these times that the Braveheart cocktail is a peacemaker. Some things I noticed: I kept adding lemon and then began to think of Jack Daniels (a prize American whiskey) which can make sense socio-politically. I also combined the 'sweet' (another socio-political assurance). In other words the sugar for the ginger juice and the honey syrup with water and heated them to warm. Some of us were experimenting with choice of Scotch. One choice was Chivas Regal (and two days later there was a news report of 6,000 gallons of Chivas accidentally being dumped down the drain at its factory!). The other option is Johnnie Walker that may have more international reach. I chose the black label (more approachable to the Southern European sort) to be safe (for Britain).
